I walked around Crosswinds Marsh in southwest Wayne County this morning. It was a beautiful morning to be out. There were a few birds the best of which were probably Blue-headed Vireo and two Brown Thrashers. Good numbers of the expected sparrows were accompanied by a small flock of female and juvenile Indigo Buntings.
No bird photos, but other things seen were:
Not the best photo, but a White-faced Meadowhawk nevertheless.
My first Common Buckeye seen this year.
A gigantic wasp nest!
