Counting for the Detroit River Christmas bird count this morning got me off on the right foot with a few photos to start the year. 24 species on a day of continuous heavy snow and wind chill was a great way to get the year started. I had to figure out how to get up and down some inclines and fell twice. Nevertheless, it turned out to be a great day.
