I am celebrating the two Blue Jay photos below because these are the first I have been able to get of an unguarded blue jay. To me blue jays are typically so jittery and flighty and, it seems, have thwarted all of my prior photo attempts. Well, I did get one or two photos at my backyard pond last summer, but only because my presence was hidden.
Photos taken at Rouge River Bird Observatory yesterday on a day when not much else was seen.
